Mr. Samiul Islam

Samiul Islam is currently working as a Lecturer of Computer Science and Engineering at BRAC University and serving as a Research Assistant at the Data & Design Lab of University of Dhaka. He has completed his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering in 2014 and Master of Science in Computer Science and Engineering in 2017 from BRAC University. He started his research career with image processing & machine learning and gradually drifted to machine learning, data analysis, decision making etc.

I have been selected as Young Scholar in the Communication Policy Research south (CPRSouth) 2017 conference’s Young Scholar Program. As one of the 20 selected Young Scholars from the Asia-Pacific and Africa, I have been selected to participate in CPRSouth Conference and Young Scholar Tutorial Program. Main focuses of this tutorial is to groom the researchers for policy analysis using supply-side and/or demand-side data, ICT impact analysis, Research-to-Policy interventions, Big data and Open data in research etc. CPRSouth Conference and tutorial program will be held at the Inya Lake Hotel, Yangon, Myanmar from Monday, August 28, 2017 to Friday, September 01, 2017.
